Hi, My name is Marcia Roye-Madison. People ask me all the time, why I got into aesthetics, nutrition, and skincare. The truth is, I love the idea of making people look and feel beautiful, but you can’t accomplish beauty with cosmetic procedures alone. You absolutely have to include good nutrition, exercise, and quality skincare. I battled with acne for years as a teenager and as an adult. In fact, I learned I was allergic to penicillin when a doctor prescribed a course of antibiotics for my teenage acne. I broke out in a rash from head to toe. You can imagine I was horrified when I woke up the next morning seeing more spots than ever before. I literally screamed when I looked in the mirror. Several years later after having children my hormones went out of whack again. I went to a doctor who ordered labs and prescribed spironolactone. It’s a drug used for several indications including menopause-related acne. Well, that didn’t work for me either. After having my hormones levels checked, everything was very normal. No signs of early menopause. Nothing! I spent the next 10 – 15 years wasting money on different topical treatments and taking hair, skin, and nail supplements. It wasn’t until I became a vegan and started using PCA skincare products that I finally saw a significant improvement in my skin’s appearance.
